Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor Joy was born in Miami Florida on 16 April 1996. She is the child of Dennis Alan Taylor, a former banking executive and Jennifer Marina Joy, a psychologist is Anya Taylor-Joy. The father of her is Argentine, of Scottish-English heritage. Her mother is Spanish as well as English heritage. Taylor-Joy is the youngest of five children from her father's previous marriage. After being in Buenos Aires for six years and then moving to Victoria. According to Taylor-Joy, this removal was extremely difficult for her and she refused to master English in the hopes of moving back to Argentina. Her school had to change from Northlands in order to attend Hill House. Later, she enrolled in Queen's Gate School to study ballet as well as perform in the school's productions. At the age of sixteen, Taylor-Joy resigned from the school to focus her full-time acting profession. From a young age Taylor-Joy was aware of her desire to become an actress and her dream came true when she was offered an opportunity to model by Sarah Doukas the founder of Storm Management.
