Arianna Huffington

Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington, a Greek American businesswoman and syndicated journalist is an author. She co-founded The Huffington Post the founder and CEO of Thrive Global and the author of 15 books. Arianna Huffington has been a TV host, journalist as well as a philanthropist, author and journalist for more than ten years. She is also the proprietor of The Huffington Post, an free-of-cost online news magazine. Her birthplace was in Greece and relocated to England when she was sixteen. At Cambridge University, she graduated with an MA of Economics. She was the first student non-UK to be elected president of The Cambridge Union at the age of 21. The success of her conservative columnist was consolidated after she completed her studies. With the introduction of The Huffington Post a few year later, she established an online voice portal that offered critiques of the political situation. It was possible for her to recruit numerous prominent contributors to post their views about politics and culture. Arianna's popularity was first noticed in 2003 when she was a candidate for an independent for the California recall vote to replace Governor Davis. She was also involved in a Detroit-based project that promoted fuel-efficient automobiles. Forbes listed her as the most influential woman in media in the year 2009. She ranked in the 12th spot on Forbes' listing. The Guardian also included her on the top 100 list of media in 2009. In 2011, AOL Inc. bought The Huffington Post and made her the head of the media company, which also included a number of existing AOL properties, including Engadget AOL music Style list as well as Patch Media. Elli was the son of Konstantinos who was a management and journalism consultant. Though she was close with her father, it was the relationship she shared with her mother which shaped her entire life. In her earliest years she demonstrated leadership skills that are still highly regarded. In the year she turned 16, she moved from America to the United Kingdom and enrolled Girton College Cambridge. While in college, she joined Cambridge Union's college debating societies and eventually was its first foreign and female president. She graduated in 1972 with an education in Economics. After her graduation she became a columnist, critic and a host on TV. Also, with Bernard Levin she appeared on an edition of Face the music.
